From the arrival of the first car (a Serpollet Steamer) in Ireland in 1896, Irish motorists were to the fore-front of the great new adventure of motoring. Their early explorations and many trials and tribulations only served to strengthen their enthusiasm as they traveled to the farthest corners of Ireland.
