D'aistrigh Dúghlas Sealy (1929-2013), mór-chriticeoir agus aistritheoir, 47 gcinn de dhánta Bobrowski go Gaeilge. Is é Labhrann an Fásach toradh a shaothair go dtí gur chuir an bás críoch lena thogra.
Buanaíonn an sár-chnuasach neamhchoitianta seo an chuimhne ar Dhúghlas maille le léaschríocha úra a chruthú do éigse na Gaeilge.
Johannes Bobrowski (1917-1965) is recognized as one of the great German lyricists of the 2nd century. The way in which he managed to express his emotional response to the landscapes and history of eastern Europe, especially to the learned history of the Jews, masterfully formulated with words is particularly appreciated. Douglas Sealy (1929-2013), a major critic and translator, translated 47 of Bobrowski's poems into Irish. Labhrann an Fásach is the result of his work until death put an end to his proposal.
This rare super collection perpetuates the memory of Douglas while creating new horizons for the Irish language.
