In April 2002, the Israeli Defence Forces launched an assault on Jenin refugee campy in the West Bank. After weeks of bombardment, the Israelis were accused of the deliberate massacre of Palestinians.

Silvio Cerulli was one of the first journalists to be smuggled into Jenin after the assault began. He was moved to write down what he saw and to try to make sense of the killing and devastation. This is his story.
