It’s estimated that the song that gives part two of Johnny Duhan’s autobiography its title has been sung at a million weddings worldwide.

Though music and poetry remain Johnny’s centre of gravity, family history and the intricacies and practicalities that romantic love lead to has emerged as his dominant theme, along with a growing commitment to the faith that has sustained him in his uncompromising artistic journey over a half century.

Lots of interesting and well-known characters are encountered during his travels and some unusual locations are visited en route, but Johnny’s main achievement in these pages, as in his most popular song The Voyage, is the ‘treasure’ that he and his ‘first mate' eventually attain at the ‘shores of the heart’.
