Quotations, compiled by James Connolly's daughter Nora, taken from articles he wrote in various publications, including Forward in Scotland, Justice and New Age in England, as well as the Workers's Republic and Irish Worker in Dublin.
These quotations are from when he first began to write in 1897 until his last written statement which was the reply he gave he gave to his court martial that sentenced him to death - this note was smuggled out to Nora Connolly O'Brien. She says of this note:
'I would like to quote the first part of this statement at the beginning to show why I consider the present fight in the North of Ireland the continuation of the battle for which he died.' Nora Connolly O'Brien January 1978
