This is part 1 of a two part series and is a record of Henry D. Inglis’ travels through Dublin, through Wexford, Waterford and Cork.
It is an account of Inglis' journey from Dublin through Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny and Cork. His mission was to establish if Ireland was an 'improving county' and his observations are of great interest to family and local historians interested in these areas as they give an important insight into living standards and the relationship between the gentry, middlemen and the tenantry, as well as conditions in the towns he visited
