The Irish economy currently exists in a state of economic quarantine, paralysed by debt, powerless to effect its course.

If things are to change, the course of action is clear: Ireland must renege on its existing debt commitment and abandon the single currency.

The political classes remain steadfast in their refusal to consider default, but there is a viable alternative waiting to be heard. Here, at last, it gets the hearing it deserves.
