Tráth den saol, bhí an chathair seo lán de luchóga beaga ach ní mar sin atá níos mó. Níl fágtha anois ach luichín amh&aacut...

A stunning picture book about a little mouse who had to flee his native Germany. He couldn’t get on a ship, so he decided to try flying! Author/illustrator’s Torben Kuhlmann’s highly original story of a little mouse who dared to dream a big, big dream was a major success internationally and has been translated into more than twenty languages.

Futa Fata is very proud to bring it to a new Irish readership for the first time. Illustrated in virtuoso watercolour images that brings this heart-warming story of bravery and invention to life, Lindbergh, Scéal Luchóige a d’Eitil is a book to treasure.

Translation is by Futa Fata author Máire Zepf (Ná Gabh ar Scoil!) and translator Andreas Vogel (Oíche Chiúin).

Author/illustrator Torben Kuhlmann was born in 1982 in the Lower Saxon town of Sulinge, Germany.

Lindbergh was his first book and marked him out as an illustrator of great skill who is also a master-storyteller. Praise for the US edition of Lindbergh, Scéal Luchóige a d’eitil: ‘The eye soars between aerial views and close-ups of old Hamburg in this beautifully rendered and well-thought-out picture book.’ The New York Times ‘Perhaps the most visually stunning book of the year.’ The Huffington Post
